There will be a joint meeting of the Music Festival Committee and the Club Foundation Board on Tuesday, July 19 at 7 p.m. at the Wayside….Those paying annual Club dues by installment are reminded that the second installment of $100 is now due….United for Refugees is conducting fundraising Charity BBQs at the Hepburn Parkette (next to the CIBC) on Talbot Street in St. Thomas from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday August 12 and 26….The winning 50-50 ticket was held by Mark Fagan, the President of the St. Thomas Railway City Rotary Club.
HAPPY FINS- Donations of $5 to The Rotary Foundation - Annual Programs Fund - credited to the donor in celebration of something good in our lives. This practice was started in this club in 1985 to raise funds for polio eradication at the suggestion of Darwin Lowe, a member of the club.
Mark Fagan (2) – What an awesome meeting! He’s happy to give back some of his 50/50 winnings.
Mike Moore (10) – In honour of his parents’ 50th wedding anniversary this Saturday and all they have done for him in his 48 years.
Stew Shouldice (1) – The Club now has a debit/credit machine that it can take to events.
Ron Somerville (5) – He has advised long-time friends for whom he has done service in the building way that they may pay for his work only in happy fins.
Nick Chabot (1) – To thank everyone for coming together tonight.
Nancy Lovelock (2) – For her and husband Paul’s wonderful 50th wedding anniversary celebration on the weekend; for the lovely evening tonight.
Pat Martyn (4) – For the incoming Presidents; to welcome Diane as District Governor; for her daughter’s birthday; for a great summer at the cottage.
George Martyn (1) – Their daughter is getting married, but talks to him as if he were the one getting married!
