The annual changeover meeting happened under clear blue skies and bright sunshine at Merriview, home of Brenda and Mike Merrifield. 

 

The Club welcomed Connie Davidson with her induction.  She’s jumping in the deep end by already being on the Board as Director of Community.  WELCOME CONNIE.  It was wonderful to see her husband Bob attend and encourage her as well.

 

Paul Harris Fellows were presented to Ed Willson.  The introduction was given by Ron Somerville and Bill Horn.  This was a PHF x 4. 

 

Trish Shouldice introduced the next  Paul Harris recipient, Nancy Lovelock because of Service and Past President. 

 

Nancy Lovelock introduced Trish Shouldice for her Paul Harris award which was given because of service and Past President.

 

The Club thanked the Wayside and the Merrifields for the excellent dinner and setting. 

 

The outgoing Board members, Mike Moore, Ed Willson, Nancy Lovelock and David Payler were thanked.  The new Board members were welcomed.  The new Board is as follows:

President Gerry welcomed his wife Catherine, sons Tim and Robert and friends Paul and Mary.  He spoke of the ABC’s of his presidential year.  A – Action; Associate and Adapt  B—Bylaws; Board and Budget and C—Community; Connect and Contribute. 

 

He reminded us that this year’s Rotary theme is ROTARY CONNECTS THE WORLD. 

 

Barb asked if anyone wishes to host a summer meeting at their home please let her know the date that works well and she’ll schedule it.  This was a tradition of times past and it would be lovely to do a few meetings this way this summer.

 

The 50/50 draw was won by Adriana.

Suzanne reminded everyone to pay Mary the $200 annual dues ASAP to make her new position easier.
