Announcements: Next weeks zoom meeting includes Paul Harris Fellow presentations by District Governor David Elliot and a visit by a special guest. Please wear Christmas atire. We plan to send a screenshot for the district website. There is a lot of detail in the zoom meeting so select the link below to get the details. This zoom meeting is streamed for our clubs YouTube channel. Feel free to check out other content there. Nancy Lovelock introduced Governor David Elliot. He was president of the London club that hosted the 100-year celebration and clock dedication in 2015. He was instrumental in implementing the East Coast Kitchen Party. He was/is a sustaining contributor to the Foundation, with the TV children's centre, Crime Stoppers, Day Care, contributing to the Insurance Industry Association, and Oakridge Church. Without a vision statement, we have no idea what our club will be like in 5 years. With COVID, many people are turning to Facebook to add focus to their lives. There has been much-increased Rotary activity on Facebook. Paul Broadbent is available free of charge to help with Planned Giving to the Foundation. He brings the tax-saving perspective. Barbara dropped the word Bequest (contribution greater than $10000). She would like us to be a 100% Benefactor club. See the screenshot below with information about Environment day April2021. "The Environment" is the 7th element of Rotary's focus. District Governors from around the Great Lakes in both Canada and the US are meeting to encourage cleanup. Clubs that do and do not border on the lakes are encouraged to participate. |
