We met in the shade of beautiful trees on the front lawn of Pat's home.

The most exciting news, which was met with much enthusiasm, came from Mark on behalf of the Venue Committee.  We are going to give a test run on September 14 and 28 at the St. Thomas Senior Centre beside Central Elgin SS.  They have full meals at lunch time for $8 plus $1 for coffee or soup and sandwich for $6. The patrons help themselves so there will be no delay in eating our meal.  We will not be charged for the use of the meeting room.  And they have storage space for all our stuff.
Let's all try to attend at least one of those meetings if possible so we all have an informed opinion.

There was some discussion about a new fund raiser, a Ribfest.  Further inquiry needs to be made.

Our Fireside Chat is finally going to take place on Wednesday, September 21 at Pat's home at 7pm.  Everyone is encouraged to attend and take the opportunity to share their thoughts on how we can make our club a place we are all proud of and enthusiastic about.  It is important that we are all heard.

Happy Fins:
Barbara:  4 - Bob has a date for a consult for a hip replacement.

I had to leave before the rest of the Happy Fins were made so perhaps Pat would have a record.

Gerry took some pictures.
(Editorial comment: What scene from the stage did you take this move?)
See you soon!
