The meeting at Waterworks Park opened with our Bell, toast to Queen/Canada, RI, 4Way test. Not fair, we did not get a picture of the other half of the group! 11 members and guest Maggie Horn attended.

Each car participating will need a ticket. Tickets are being sold through the above link, by members, and at the event. At the event, each ticket holder gets a map of the tour, quiz questions, and a pen. There will be prizes. Mary Morin is the treasurer for the organizing committee.

In cooperation with RCRC and involving other area 10 clubs, we want to dialogue with Indigenous People, particularly the Chippewa-on-the-Thames. See the picture below. President Barbara sent the following comments: “Mary was approached by the Aylmer Museum and Andrew Gunn several months ago. Money had been donated to the museum for a mural. The artist was to be Meaghan Claire Kehoe who created two murals in St. Thomas last year. The idea was to talk to students at East Elgin Secondary School and get their ideas of what should be on a mural in Aylmer. They wanted a mural that would show their community to be welcoming and inclusive for all. After a lot of conversation and consideration Mary received an email from Rotary that included the following quote: Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create a lasting change - across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. It was at this point that Mary gave them approval to go ahead.
This mural fits in perfectly with our new DEI focus and Mary looks towards the future that this mural celebrates.” See the picture below:

Connie – babysitting grandchildren, daughter a nurse practitioner
Ron – siblings all born in August, helped with the project at arena where 92000 people got vaccinated in St Thomas, meetings with the club
Pat – grandchildren for a full week then they left
