Suzanne welcome Michele Heidekamp a transfer from London East.
Doug Burnard said the dictionary program started with 6 clubs in 2009/10 since then we’ve donated over $45,000 dictionaries. Doug presented a district grant of over $600 for the project.
Sue Askin from Wiarton is the Literacy chair for District 6330.
Sue asked us to send her our literacy projects to be presented at conference so other groups can take advantage of them.
Rotarians need to think of literacy projects that will have a positive impact in their community.
There are opportunities to help literacy with the group Honour Indigenous People and the Martin Family Foundation, these may include cooking classes; target communities that may be illiterate.
Sue thanked our Club for their literacy projects and presented us with an award.
The Chocolate Extravaganza grossed over $700. Special thanks for Andrew in the Bunny suit.
Nancy reported on District training weekend and gave Trudy a certificate for sponsoring a Rotarian.
About 6 will attend Strathroy next week.
